Siraj Ahmed, a Massachusetts native, was born and raised in New England. He is a partner practicing business and commercial law in the Massachusetts offices of Kasem, Ko & Ahmed.
Prior to establishing Kasem Ko, Mr. Ahmed practiced at the Chicago offices of Jenner & Block, an elite 500-lawyer national firm consistently ranked by the American Lawyer as one of the top 20 firms in the United States. At Jenner, he earned three performance-based bonuses as part of a trial team that successfully litigated a highly complex, multimillion-dollar technology dispute. Mr. Ahmed's Jenner experience consists of both high technology litigation and corporate transactional representation.
Mr. Ahmed represents individuals, entrepreneurs, small businesses, and national/multinational corporations in connection with commercial relationships, contracts, joint ventures, partnerships, corporate control, shareholder rights, employment agreements, lease agreements, and licenses. He also manages his clients' trademark, trade secret, internet, and copyright needs, and was awarded the American Bar Association and Bureau of National Affairs Award for Excellence in Intellectual Property Law.
Mr. Ahmed currently serves as external transactions and litigation counsel for various businesses. His technical background enables more effective representation of clients such as software developers, medical device manufacturers, and battery developers. In addition to technology clients, his practice also emphasizes representation of contractors and owners in various construction and real estate matters. Mr. Ahmed acquired a construction supervisor license to better understand his clients' industry.
Mr. Ahmed is committed to pro bono work, and has represented non-profit organizations and asylum applicants. He earned his Juris Doctor, cum laude, from the University of Wisconsin Law School in 2002, and gained membership to the Dean's Honor List all three years of law school. Mr. Ahmed has also served as an editor for the American Bar Association.
